Real quick post tonight

sorry, we were late getting to the internet cafe and only have a few minutes left... we spent most of our time again trying to get a picture to you all, we have tried emailing it to both mom and Paige, hopefully they will get it and can share. We bought Eli a few things to wear today when he gets to leave the orphanage, not much of a selection here, really doesn't fit in with my Gap and Abercrombie taste ;)

Other than that last night Kenny and I took up our Rummy game again and guess who is in the lead now... yep that is right!!!! I have taken control... I made it to 2000 first, he doesn't believe me when I said we were playing 2000 Rummy. And then we watched Napoleon Dynamite... OK, who thought this movie was good???? we just kept waiting for there to be a plot... oh well, hopefully our movie choice will be better tonight, OK, only a few more seconds... got to go, love you all and will type more tomorrow!

OK - although I would love to see a picture of Mr. Eli, right now I am missing Mr. Eli stories. Since you all will be home soon, PLEASE GO BACK TO THE STORIES and not spend anymore time on loading pictures!!!

I agree with the movie choice and who ever thought it has substance is beyond me. You know that is two hours of your life you just can't get back - a walk would have been better!! I am not much of a card player but KUDOS for winning this round. Watch out tho 'cause I bet Kenny doesn't let that stand for too long.

Although I am not a Gap or Ambercrombie afficionado, hope MR. Eli likes our choice. Ian had a hand in the picks so don't be too suprised when you see it.

Get home soon so we can meet Mr. Eli at one of the baseball games. We are going to have to be slackers from here on out because we leave Friday to go to Florida. I personally will miss the blog because I love following your story.

Be safe.

I have to agree with your opinion of that movie! A co-worker of mine had it and just went on and on about how funny it was. I just didn't get it. Different strokes for different folks..is that the saying? I am enjoying reading your journey! Thank you for sharing!

I don't know what's up but I have NOTHING from you on either e-mail...I even went to school to check! Oh yeah...except for a "novena". Well, I guess we are all going to have to wait to see the little guy!!
Last night Jake and mom and dad came to Clay's game. He got a hit! i think it was cause Jake was going "please get a hit...please get a hit" over and over again. And in usual Clay style he had to pee so bad combined with being so excited and nervous once he was on base he held and "played" with himself the entire time it was especially noticable to the crowd on 2nd, until the 3rd base coach yelled over "Hey Clay do you gotta pee or what?!" He ran to home...straight out of the dugout to the trees...
Anna has her first CSAA field Hockey game today. We have had 3 scrimmages and have done very well...so it looks like we might win a few! WE will have Jake tonight and then he is spending the night with the Gitting's on Saturday. I think they are going to a Bats game...he will love that!
I am going to be busy, busy, busy at your house this weekend...Jenn and I (Bootylicious Movers) picked up Eli's box springs and matresses (which the Zickel's bought for him!)yesterday and Eli's furniture should be ready on Sat. TY and Scott are going to pick it up (too big of a job for the Bootylicious crew!). And we are going to work on his room that evening. I AM SO EXCITED! We have decided on a primary color dump truck theme what do you think??!! Dump Trucks here there and everywhere in bright red, blue and yellow! Breathe.. I'm JUST KIDDING! I hope you guys like whta we have really done but no picture...no details. Well, that's all for now...Sandy is on her way over so we can run and lift weights (my favorite past times!)Love you guys....7 days and counting!

This really is Mom. Glad things are going great. Can't wait until you get back, not only to see the family--all three-- but darling as Jake is--I am old and not used to eight year olds all day long. Besides, between my ADHD and dying brain cells(age related),I am completely in over-drive. I may have to go into recovery when you return. Let's see --two baseball teams (games and practices) oh sorry three, now that he is on the all tournament team, and one soccer team. That is four sets of uniforms--plus a week of baseball camp. ---Not to mention all his outings with friends. I have to match all the right belts, with socks, with shirts, with pants, with hats--not easy for a woman that gets up every morning and either puts on jeans and a Western Kentucky volleyball shirt or beige slacks and a St. B's shirt. This is also cutting into my tv and bon bon eating time. I also have spent a good deal of time finding a toothbrush for Jake. I think we are into the fourth one. They keep disappearing at this house or that one. He has become quite good at using his finger to brush. Pop and Jake are really having a good bonding period. They are real buds. Well I need to go-- I have to prepare for something--not sure what until I check Jake's massive calender--probably have to search for missing clothes, hats etc, Love ya Mom

Barb...I love your post! I can totally see you running around trying to find Jake's clothes. I guess now we know why Shay-Z can act so crazy sometimes! :) But then again she had to grow up with Paige as a sister. Of course, Beav was there too but she doesn't do anything to drive you crazy. It is that middle child you have to worry about!

Shay-Z...I am so glad you kicked KZ's butt at rummy...woo-hoo. I can't imagine what you are going through regarding the food situation! Yuk. I can't wait til you bring EZ home to meet all of your wild and crazy friends. We will have to give JV some of Jake's medicine so he won't scare him off doing the belly dance. Actually, Clay can do a mean belly dance now so maybe him & JV can put on a show for EZ. That should make him laugh. Well, need to do some work for at least an hour! Check back in with you guys later!
XOXO,

HV

Hey guys! The countdown is on. I guess you heard about the 3/4th grade St B game. I took Jake and Adam and they were a nervous wreck about kid pitch. They asked me about 10 times about getting hit and striking out. Luckily neither one of them did get hit. On Thursday (1 day after the game, of course)at baseball camp, they were taught how to take a hit with the ball. I said we needed this training a day earlier. Oh and about the underwear in the bathroom, the kids told me that it was Clay's doing. (HA HA) The funny thing about that was Evan, He told Sandy and I that he tried to tell the boys that they should not be doing that but they did not listen. I thought that was very funny. I do want you to still work on the picture because I won't be here when you get home. Talk to you soon!
